- One essential element of yoga is a vegetarian diet. An organic vegetarian diet creates an enhanced state of physical well-being, lessens our impact on our natural environment, and eliminates the component of violence from our food intake. Join us for these interactive cooking sessions and you'll prepare and sample delicious vegetarian recipes made easy. Enjoy transforming fresh, colorful foods into entrees, light meals, and healthy snacks - and for continued use, you take the recipes home!

WORKSHOPS
- Meditation: Techniques to Quiet the Mind
- This workshop will share a variety of techniques useful to decondition and retrain the mind; to create separation from mind identity and to draw to surface the realization that the mind is our tool to be used. Consistent experience displays that a dedicated practice of pranayama (controlled breath) & meditation gradually replaces uncontrolled mental & emotional reactions with sound, calm responses. Connection with the breath effectively eliminates the stimulation of stress; as the single point of focus with the breath quiets the mind, which in turn quiets emotional surges. Aside from the benefit of mental & emotional stability, meditation creates separation from superficial worldly attachments, surfacing the depth of inner-self and releasing a blissful state of connection to the divine within and the divine without.

- LEVEL 1/ONGOING
- Recommended for those attending Level I, or intending to do so. In this ongoing workshop you will discover the details of each Level I, I/II, & II asana (posture) practiced at be.Yoga Studio. Our time will be spent identifying & experiencing the details of each asana: alignment; safe & proper muscle activation; points of opposition; variations & modifications; & physical, mental and/or pranic benefits. We focus on proper skeletal alignment, and recognizing appropriate variations or modifications for each individual. We practice & explore the asanas in the specific order that they are practiced in Level I/II & Level II. This workshop is offered monthly, each picking up where the last left off.
